Thank you for that piece on CSS, which accurately describes my 1995-ish first website right down to the imagemap. I had a background image of a bouquet of roses, which I turned grayscale in Photoshop and then carved up into pieces. Mousing over each grayed-out blossom turned it red, and the name of the page it linked to went from gray to red as well. It took eons. I was soooooo proud.
