Those are excellent extensions of the two cakes idea. And yes, sometimes you have to believe that the thing you created will be perfect for someone, even if you don't think it's going to be great for anyone.

... luckily MyGuy has a sweet tooth, so when I'm disappointed in my less-than-perfect cake (in my quest for GF excellence) he's I'll eat that!

I will eat my baking & cooking attempts even if they’re odd or not quite right. I guess I’m not doing so badly if everything turns out edible!
