On the evening of Lag b'Omer, I went folk dancing, as I do most Wednesday nights when I can get a ride. Thursday I had a space in my schedule, so I biked down to Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, a spring-fed oasis cradled in the middle of Portland. All more or less coincidentally a lovely way to celebrate Lag b'Omer.
First thing, I saw a tiny peeping duckling and its concerned parent

Looked over the railing at part of the garden below

Rhododendrons everywhere!

Great big globes of flowers

Wood ducks, hanging out in the path

Sat and looked out over the water awhile, marveling at being in the middle of a city

Looking up toward the bridge and exit, shrouded in a weeping willow tree

Bonus iris in my garden

Happy Spring to all!
