Very educational article, including the afterword.

I wrote a long paper on the Seneca Falls Convention back in high school (early '80s), and never thought to question where the white suffragists got their ideas, much less credit the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) influence as Sally Roesch Wagner does in her article. I am embarrassed both for myself and for my teachers.

I was impatient with History classes mostly about white men and wars, but didn't know how to reach beyond them. At least I'm learning more now!
