Wildlife encounter

I was walking down a tree-lined street when there was a rain of walnut shell fragments just ahead. The young squirrel followed after, hitting the sidewalk with a thump! It immediately skittered off into the bushes, scolding furiously.

I hope the small critter was okay, and has learned to hold on while gnawing an afternoon snack. Its indignation made me bend over laughing.
