Story! A Pale Horse
Dec. 6th, 2020 12:44 pmA Pale Horse by M Evan MacGriogair.
A lovely multilingual story (Gaelic and English) about despair, hope, and connection.
Here, have a Scots Gaelic pronunciation guide that I wish I'd had before I read the story. It's one thing not to understand everything in a story, but to know I'm not even getting close to pronouncing it right is another level of discomfort. I have enough of a grounding in enough languages to be unused to feeling completely shut out.
And here's Google translate from Scots Gaelic to English. I don't have time right now to run the Gaelic in the story through there, since I supposedly only paused briefly to post this, but I might go back and do this later.
I have not forgotten the suggested topics and will write posts for them soonish. It's not too late to suggest more topics. I am enjoying people's comments!
Meanwhile, am writing! The section intros are finally settling into shape and I might have a solid complete draft soon.
