My response to grief is to make order, finish projects, do maintenance, get things done. That one trait is probably responsible for a lot of my current quality of life!
Today, I
I still need to make a program for tomorrow night's dance evening.
Today, I
- Watered young plants outside
- Biked to the Farmer's Market
- Cleaned bike & oiled chain
- Did two bodywork sessions
- Accounting and biked to ATM for check deposit
- Assorted file transfers & hard disk cleanup
- Paid estimated taxes
- Practiced piano
- Worked out steps to a dance I've been meaning to relearn for years.
- Journaling
- Investigated Air Foil as partial replacement for Thunderbolt monitor (with built-in speakers) that's going away
- Baked salmon from Farmer's Market with season's first parsnips and ginger and lemon-dill vinegar all wrapped in foil. Yum!
- Made stir-fry to bring on tomorrow's long bike ride, since it's a little hot to carry salmon around.
- Cleaned up
- Cuddled Basil
- Trimmed some of his claws, since he was ecstatically pricking me with them.
I still need to make a program for tomorrow night's dance evening.
