I think the new stainless steel pots & pans are helping! Or, to be accurate, the new pan - I've been taking this really slow and only used the big pan to make stir-fry so far. It's slightly smaller and cooks things a lot faster than the old big pan, so I've had to adjust my prep technique and not throw in quite as many vegetables.

I've been waking up earlier, with more energy, and haven't had any big energy crashes or anxiety spikes in the last three weeks. I still feel very tentative about the whole thing, although now that I'm writing here, it sounds like a firmly positive result.

Maybe trace gluten or chemicals from the old nonstick pans were causing a constant low-level irritation, and now that that's gone, I'll really start to heal. I'm worried partly because each change I've made in the past has led to more sensitivity rather than more resilience.

I've gotten a lot done in the last three weeks on my book. And I biked to Multnomah Falls yesterday, a 50 mile round trip with two long climbs. Oh, does my body love that steady peaceful climbing. I feel more like myself than I have in a long time. *Crosses fingers* that it lasts.

The farthest north I got was McMinnville in the valley and Tillamook along the coast. I probably should have called you - my apologies. I still have the ancient cell phone where it costs a bunch to use it when I do, so I'm not as free with cell phone calls as I probably should be, Our arrangement was pretty vague and loosey goosey so I figured it would be fine.

I'd like to do another trip where I see the Columbia River Valley (never seen it!), the northern-most coast that I missed, and also make it up to WA possibly for some more Sol Duc hot springs. Maybe even Bend! Another year...

That trip sounds delicious. My favorite bike trips were in the Arboretum at night: as we moved into bog-side then grove-side then prairie-side the humidity, pressure and temperature change oh-so-slightly. I loved feeling those changes on my bare legs.

Sometimes it takes a long time to heal. I spent decades injuring my intestinal system with gluten, and I feel the rate of improvement has plateaued at around five years.

*fingers crossed*

This is sounding very positive. Here's hoping that continues. I've never had to deal with such subtle health issues, this kind where a lot still isn't known and a person may have to do so much experimentation to find a solution. Very glad for this new prognosis.

No, I think I meant "prognosis". In the sense that the indications are so positive so far, that this will continue to be a good solution for you. The prognosis is that you can now heal.
