Goodbye, old friend

soniaJust ran across the news that onyxlynx died last week. We used to be friends in person before I moved away, and I've followed her blog and here on dreamwidth for many years.
When I started posting here, she recognized my icon, which is a photo of a quilt she saw at my house, and we connected up. It was so nice to be welcomed by someone. I'll miss her.

A folk dance friend whose 90th birthday party I ran the music for a couple of years ago also just died. A lovely warm smart Irish-Catholic woman whose whole clan of kids and grandkids turned out to dance with her on her birthday.
A singing trio I was part of also just died. Different from the human deaths, but just as real.
I feel like I'm breathing cautiously, shocked.
