It's (almost) a book
Sep. 29th, 2011 05:25 pmAfter a great deal of fighting with multiple Adobe software products to get the right formats, colors, and resolution, I finished and uploaded my book cover and book interior to Lightning Source. I had no idea this last step would be so hard!
It feels... complete. I'm worried that I missed a step and the proof won't look right, costing extra time and money, and also calmly convinced that I paid enough attention to the details and it's fine. Someone said, "You're writing a book?" and today for the first time I replied, "I wrote a book."
The proof is supposed to take 5-6 business days to get here, and once I approve it the book will be available. Feels unreal, after almost two years of working on it. More work to come for e-book versions, book website, etc. etc. but at least for now this part is done.
