August Sundown Healing Arts Newsletter
Aug. 11th, 2018 08:59 pmWhether we connect with our parents every day, once a year, or not at all, we can reduce the internal charge we carry toward them.
The Right Distance from Family
New book responses at Curious, Healing. Have you read these? Comments welcome!
Trauma of separating children from parents
In her recent newsletter, early childhood educator Patricia Nan Anderson offers her knowledgeable perspective on the trauma of separating children from parents, as the US is doing at our southern border. She includes a free, practical one-hour video course on Children and Trauma that gives 1 CEU. She talks about the harm trauma does to children, invites you to notice what traumas you have experienced yourself, and calls on all of us to take action to help. (Working on your own healing counts as taking action.)
Curious, Healing is a blog, and you're welcome to comment there or here about the books. The articles don't have a comment section. You're welcome to comment here or send me email with any thoughts.
If you want the monthly newsletter in your inbox, along with news about my practice, you can subscribe here.
