Updates: book and cat and daffodils
Jan. 13th, 2021 01:28 pmThe copy editor is almost done! I have integrated all the copy edits I have received so far, and sent the draft off to the local copy shop so I can do a final read through on a printed copy. OMG Embodying Hope is really almost done!
The daffodils are sprouting enthusiastically. I hope they're right and the winter will ease into spring now. It was warm yesterday and very very wet. Today it is almost as warm and sunny, so I let Basil the cat out without a leash for the first time since last March.
At first he did the same things he did with the leash. Stayed close to me, sniffed at the same places, followed the same path. But the second time I let him out I think he realized he was free, and he disappeared into the neighbor's yard for a while. The problematic cat-feeding neighbors are gone, yay!
He's now back inside and yowling and prowling and stopping in my lap to stare at me insistently. Not sure if he's informing me the neighbors are gone, or wanting back out, or what. He does have food in his dish. Fortunately this cat, unlike my last one, settles down after a while if I don't get the message.
