Why is it forbidden by Jewish law to spread Lashon Hara (lit. Evil Tongue)? Because historically we lived in small close-knit communities, and in order to function and coexist and be healthy, we _need_ to know that it's possible to atone for our misdeeds, be forgiven, and move on from it.

Date: 2019-06-04 10:11 pm (UTC)I like how Spoon Theory made it common knowledge that chronic illness leads to severely limited energy, and let me know I wasn't the only one having trouble at times with basic self-care.
