This is why early detection and quarantine is absolutely essential. Mortality rate of COVID has a phase transition property. As long as the healthcare system is not saturated, it's around 0.5-1%, but once the hospitals are filled, it climbs quickly.
Here’s what coronavirus does to the body by Amy McKeever. Linked in a comment by 7363558251. Not comforting.
I go back and forth between thinking it will be okay, and breathless anxiety. Not sure it helps to keep reading up on it. I've bought some extra food, and done some additional hand-washing. The problem is not knowing when to self-isolate. How do I keep seeing clients without putting myself and them at risk. When do I stop attending folk dance evenings. When do I stop hosting them, for the two regulars who show up.
Meanwhile it is an absolutely gorgeous sunny day and I have spent a lot of time sitting on the back porch reading. The birds make slight bell-like sounds scrabbling with their little claws on the metal bird feeder. We had a couple of visits from a Steller's jay. Gorgeous fellow. Also messy, since he's too big for the feeder, so he flaps wildly and scatters seeds everywhere.
