soniaThese are my beloved friends of Dunava, Seattle's Balkan choir, standing carefully 6' apart, with hand-washing lyrics set to a multi-part Bulgarian melody, Rasodi se tenka Neda.
Dunava is practicing safe social distancing during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the Seattle area, and delivering an important message. English lyrics by Jenny Sapora; song arrangement by Tzvetanka Varimezova (the original Bulgarian version "Rasodi se tenka Neda" is recorded on their CD "Bulgaria"). https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/dunava2
Here they are singing the original back in 2014. (Even though the first frame of the video shows a different singing group.)
There are a lot of singers and musicians aching to harmonize in these days of social distancing. Network delays make it unworkable over Zoom, etc. (If you know of a solution, do tell!)
