Music on Zoom, Original Sound setting
Mar. 25th, 2020 07:41 pmVia this document Comparing & Contrasting FREE Platforms and Procedures for Online Music Instruction (which gives pros and cons for various choices and points to Zoom as the best one), I got linked to this video:
Zoom in "Music Mode" with Jim Daus Hjernøe of RAMA Vocal Center / The Royal Academy of Music.
I had noticed that Zoom tends to blank out long held notes during a song, assuming it was background noise. There is a setting "Original Sound" that makes it stop doing that! Oddly, you have to:
- first find and enable it under Advanced Settings in the account on the zoom.us website,
- then find the setting again on the app under Settings - Audio - Advanced
- THEN either enable or disable it in an individual zoom session.
I can't wait to try this out!
