A couple of stories I liked from the New Decameron project (free to read, donations requested).
Commando Bats by Sherwood Smith, sartorias. The protagonist is a sharp older woman who uses a motorized scooter, and has an encounter with a goddess.

Loosestrife by Marissa Lingen, mrissa. Intelligent goats. What could go wrong?
