sonia: Embodying Hope cover (embodying hope cover)

I haven't done nearly as much staring at the Embodying Hope text since sending it off for copy editing, but I have been doing other things.
- Got the photos back from the photo shoot, and have made an attempt at choosing one for the back cover. They all have good & bad points, and I haven't settled on one yet.
- Converted the anatomy illustrations to black & white and pasted them back in. It wasn't nearly as much trouble as last time, although I suppose I could still run into resolution issues trying to get the final pdfs just right before uploading them for printing.
- Added figure captions.
- Spent an unexpected evening digging into the difference between IngramSpark and LightningSource for self-publishing. It turns out that IngramSpark is a more user-friendly and limited interface for LightningSource, intended for tiny publishers like me. If it had existed when I published my first book, I'd probably be using it, but I decided to stick with LightningSource since I already have an account and have more or less figured out all the knobs and dials.
- Started an entry for the book in my LightningSource account. My, there are a lot of knobs and dials! For example, not only do I have to pick a US$ price for the book, I have to convert it myself to pounds, euros, etc.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to finish reading "The Politics of Trauma" before it's due back at the library, and I have three other library books queued up. They all piled up at once!

And I'm writing a new article for Jan 1.

Knobs and dials is a lovely summary of all the darn settings things have now.

Good luck with your time management.
