I've continued practicing yoga fairly regularly for 10-20 minutes each day. Sometimes I'm using parts of the routine I linked to earlier, and I'm starting to branch out to other gentle short routines. So far I'm staying with Sarah Beth's videos. If you have gentle yin/slow yoga videos to recommend, please share!

Yoga for Bloating, Digestion, Ulcerative Colitis, IBD & IBS. 12 minutes. Looks reasonable on a watch-through, haven't tried it yet. ETA: Really like it!

10 minute Yoga for Neck & Shoulder Tension. This one was really nice, if a little rushed. I might do it with the video a few more times until I can remember the poses, then do it at my own pace. Maybe I can try youtube's slowed-down play setting.

15 minute Yin Yoga for Upper Body Tension. Looks interesting, haven't tried it yet. ETA: Nope! Too intense for my shoulders.

30 min Yoga Stretch to UNWIND Tight Neck & Hips. I liked the first half of this one for my neck, although there was some new agey talk at the beginning that I didn't want. I wandered off when she got to pigeon pose for the hips, since that feels like too much for me right now.

I'm finding that especially for my neck, I need to keep the movements small and do them slowly.

ETA: From [personal profile] adrian_turtle in comments, Yoga for Neck and Shoulder Relief - Yoga With Adriene. Watch out for gratuitous dizzying motion at 36-50 seconds. My neck and upper back felt like "wtf was that?!" right afterwards, but the next morning they felt better than they have in a while.

Also Yoga For Neck, Shoulders, Upper Back - 10 Minute Yoga Quickie - Yoga With Adriene - quick, relatively mild, can be done in a chair except the last twist pose, which I skipped.

Thanks for the pointers! I've poked around a little bit in similar directions, though not very much (and even less, recently), because so many yoga poses aggravate my hand pain. I skip around a lot.

I'm not sure if I can recommend this one, though I like the teaching style. (It's Yoga With Adriene, so cover the screen with something opaque from 36 seconds to 50 seconds.)

It's certainly gentle and slow, and aimed at reducing shoulder tension. But it triggers me the same way that Feldenkreis and "restorative yoga" do, so I won't be doing it again. I'm rather proud of myself for recognizing it was a problem and stopping partway through, rather than just catching on hours later.

When my shoulder settles down from that, I think I might try this one.

It's gentle, with a lot of "careful not to twist this too far," but doesn't feel as slow as Sarah Beth's
