minoanmiss had the idea of sending postcards praising people's Halloween decor.

I immediately thought of nearby Crestfallen Manor. Posting my comments here in case more people are interested. They're at NE 17th & Beech, in case you're local. Highly recommended!

Starting in early October, they put up fake wrought-iron fencing and a lot of joke headstones ("I told you I was sick!" "Les Moore, no Les, no more") plus last year they added lovely ones for RBG and John Lewis. This year they added battery-powered lanterns by some of the stones. There's a mechanical skeleton stirring a cauldron. A large coffin where the lid periodically bangs and a voice says, "Let me out! I'm not dead!" They go ALL OUT is what I'm saying. They also have a haunted house that I went through one year on Halloween night.
