Humming can heal the isolation of trauma.
For Portland folks:
If you'd like to explore humming, vibration, Georgian singing, and connection, please drop me an email. I want to gather a group together to play with sound. No musical experience necessary.
If you do have experience with singing in parts, you are welcome to join my existing singing group. We get together Sunday afternoons to sing Balkan and Georgian songs for the fun of it. Sheet music provided. We don't perform, and you can drop in as your schedule allows. Send me an email or comment here for more information.
New book responses at Curious, Healing. Have you read these? Comments welcome!
"The Bear that Wasn't" by Frank Tashlin
"Seeking Peace" by Mary Pipher
"Alchemy of Illness" by Kat Duff
"The Myth of Sanity" by Martha Stout, Ph.D.
Curious, Healing is a blog, and you're welcome to comment there or here about the books. The articles don't have a comment section. You're welcome to comment here or send me email with any thoughts.
If you want the monthly newsletter in your inbox, along with news about my practice, you can subscribe here.
