The questions in this quiz are intended to mostly be pretty easy if you're Jewishly involved, but difficult if you don't know much about Judaism.

Throughout the quiz, I refer to what Jews believe and what Judaism teaches. Obviously, not all Jews believe the same things, and not all traditions of Judaism agree on everything. I have tried to be as inclusive as possible.

I have generally used the Modern Hebrew transliterations of Hebrew words. In some cases I have put the Ashkenazi pronunciation in parentheses, where that term is especially common.

No personal information about you will be collected except for the one question on this page, which is optional.

I got 22/32 as an Ashkenazi Jew who was raised without any religious education.

21/32, as a UU Christo-pagan with a lot of Jewish friends. (But my answer on, f'rex, the Pharisees one was totally because was I was raised in a Christian-centric world.)

That was fun! I got 23/32. I got 3 out of 8 of the tricky questions, but I only actually knew one: that a woman without a penis cannot undergo Bris Milah!

Nice! Yeah, I think that's one of the ones I missed. I have good cultural knowledge but not much biblical knowledge.

27/32. Raised Lutheran; everything I know about Judaism comes from reading and a smidge of osmosis from my sister-in-law's family.

In high school a classmate asked me if I was Jewish because I knew what Rosh Hashanah was, and I was a little boggled that everyone didn't know that.

29/32, as a lapsed Catholic who's hung out with a fair number of Jewish people online.

My best mistake was the question I got wrong by getting sukkah confused with sufganiyot.
