I always renew in December for the 10% points bonus and as a convenient way to remember when it's been about a year.
I don't do it so much for the extra features, although having a search bar for my posts comes in handy once in a while. I do it out of gratitude. I have found ongoing community here that I treasure. *big virtual hug* to you all!
