John Conway Solved Mathematical Problems With His Bare Hands by Kevin Hartnett. No idea if John Conway was autistic or not, but he saw the world in his own quirky way.

So Your Grandmother is a Starship is a brilliant tale.

I reread it when I was putting this post together, and it's much snarkier than I remembered!

I liked both of those stories, and keenly felt the frustration of the steel magnolia and the inability to find the perfect solution in a situation that doesn't have one.
