Pleasant day

soniaIt's the perfect temperature out there (about 75 F), not too hot, not too humid, pleasant sunshine. I spent a bunch of time pruning and weeding in the garden. Now I have to wait a week for the green bin to get emptied again. I let the oregano go to seed last year. Oops. I reclaimed my path back to the raspberries, but there is a lot more oregano to pull out.
It's good to have the energy and opportunity to work in the garden. I forget how much I enjoy it until I'm out there. I like chatting with people who pass by, too.
Went for a walk with my neighbor and admired everyone else's gardens, too. Everything is colorful and thriving from the alternating sun and rain.
Lilac hung out near me while I pulled weeds, and then sat with me on the front steps when I decided I was done for the day. I love the way she keeps me company.
