A Unified Theory of Fucks by Mandy Brown.
Because here’s what I’ve learned: if you give your fucks to the unliving—if you plant those fucks in institutions or systems or platforms or, gods forbid, interest rates—you will run out of fucks. [...] But if you give a fuck about the living, about all your living kin in all the kingdoms, they will give a fuck right back.

Thank you for the New Deal and queer history links! There are a bunch of works around town that I always assumed were CCC -- there was a distinctive style of stonework that they engaged in locally -- but it turns out that the WPA did a lot more than just those.

The Tiny Desk concerts are excellent, and I was charmed by the rock climbing cat.

The New Deal is still an important part of our history, and many of the edifices are still standing, if modified somewhat from their original construction.

I appreciate the advice to give your fucks to people and those concerned with the living that can give fucks back instead of eating them entirely.
