I've been experimenting with eating ricotta cheese (a dairy product!) and various other gluten-free additions to my diet. Chocolate-peanut butter bars! I get so bored with the basic vegetable stir-fry I've been eating the past 4 years. Usually when I get bored and start varying my diet, my energy level plummets and I have to rein it back in to the basic boring diet that works.

Today, though, I

  • Caught up with a bunch of email and bill-paying, etc. at the computer.
  • Dug through the three shelves (!) of paint cans the previous owners left in search of one labeled "inside trim." Didn't find any, so
  • Scraped a paint sample and biked through the glorious warm sunny windy weather to the paint store. Returned with primer, paint, and tools, ready for the handyperson to apply as needed to the window sills and frames.
  • Cleaned some of the window sills.
  • Finished a book, wrote it up for my book blog.
  • Just as the light started fading, went outside to dig up some volunteer cherry trees, clear the raised bed, and trim back the overenthusiastic ground-cover.
  • Wrote a description of CranioSacral Therapy in Spanish for the Conexiones Dia de Salud where I'm volunteering.
  • And now I will cook dinner.

Maybe that sounds normal, or even not very impressive to some of you. To me, it's huge. It bodes well for programming three days a week and doing bodywork for two. I've been wondering how that might go. (Or maybe it's just the chocolate in the peanut butter bars? Better living through chemistry!)
