I bought 3 sets of Body Linen organic cotton flannel massage sheets through the Massage Naturals website in May 2017. They seemed fine, so I bought 3 more sets in October 2017, when I started using my winter sheets again and realized, yeah, *all* my old sheets really need to be retired.
Usually, sheets shrink for the first couple of washings and then stabilize. These kept shrinking. And shrinking. Even though I was washing and drying on warm, not hot. I resignedly pulled hard to get them on the table and figured it had to stop eventually. When I started using them again this fall, they really weren't staying on the table.
I bought new flannel bottom sheets through a different company. To my surprise they also turned out to be Body Linen brand, although not organic, and they seem very roomy, so hopefully they won't shrink as much.
I mentioned the problem to the Massage Naturals folks on the phone when I bought some non-flannel summer sheets from them, and the woman said "they" probably wouldn't take them back after so long.
Then I realized that the top sheets have also shrunk, to the point where they don't work well for my tallest clients. I decided to call Body Linen and ask them to make it right, since this is a premium product that has become unusable.
To my surprise, the Body Linen number connected me with the same Massage Naturals folks, and Bobbi, the woman on the phone said they're the same company. They refused to make it right because it has been more than 90 days, even though I explained about not using flannel sheets in the summer, and the shrinking problem becoming evident slowly over time.
They gave me the runaround to different people and then in the end Bobbi said she's the owner of the company. She apparently didn't believe me, and treated me rudely. I stayed calm and firm.
She said their sheets last only for 100 washings. Since massage sheets get washed every time they're used, that's a pretty short run. Less than a year for a full practice. I have been buying and using massage sheets for 20 years, and they have lasted much longer than that.
In any case, these sheets aren't worn out, and the elastic is still fine. They shrank until they were too small for my standard size table, which is not an expected failure mode for massage sheets.
