I just cut another six inches off my hair. It is now close to waist length when wet. I'm guessing it will be bra-strap length when dry and braided, which is what I was aiming for.

Last time I cut it, it ended up at the long end of "normal" for me, where I usually start thinking about getting it cut. Almost two months later, it was definitely starting to annoy me when the braid swings into what I'm doing instead of staying docilely behind me. It still took me a couple of weeks to work up to another self hair cut, but I'm pleased that I went through with it.

It might be nice to have someone else cut it for me again someday and have it be truly even, but meanwhile it's good to be able to take action myself.

In other news, my biking buddy had the day off but buses were running on weekday schedules, so we took the express bus up into Washington state and rode to Ridgefield and back, and then caught the bus back. Beautiful day for a 30 mile ride. The Salmon Creek Trail is lovely and shady, and even on a holiday there was plenty of room for everyone using it.
