Living near a high school

I lived just up the hill from a high school before I moved away, and could hear their pep rallies when I had the window open. Now I live just a short block from the same high school, so I expected noise might be a problem.

Fortunately, the pep rallies have been less of an issue than I expected. I guess the sound goes up the hill instead of toward where I live now.

What I didn't expect is hearing the sounds of car horns and chanting every morning. The teachers are on strike and demonstrating in front of the school. Wishing them a good outcome for their negotiations!
