Cranio-Rectal Inversion

soniaThe subject line is pseudo-medical language for what a friend calls HUA Syndrome: Head Up Ass.
I've had several friendships where the most neutral thing I could say is, well, they have their head up their ass. They can't see anything but their own shit, and they're definitely not seeing me at all.
The insight I had about that is that I needed to get *my* head out of their ass, quit trying to figure out what was going on with them, and attend to my own business.
I shared the insight with someone in a similar situation recently and they found it useful, so now you have it, too. Also maybe I'll run across this post again in the future when I need a reminder!

It takes a different kind of energy to do the getting out.
