The Road Warriors by Laura Bliss. "For months, a group of youthful climate activists have waged a battle to halt a Portland highway expansion — and turn U.S. transportation policy around." (The proposed highway expansion is a mile from my house, and would significantly impact bike routes I use all the time.)

One man’s quest to include bike commuting reports on MPR’s morning programming by Bill Lindeke. "G. Travis Norvell, aka [profile] pedalingpastor on Twitter, found himself annoyed that commuting information focused exclusively on those getting around by car." Now he's the Minneapolis active transportation correspondent for Minnesota Public Radio.

(divorcing) White Supremacy Culture, a website by Tema Okun, with support by and from many genius colleagues and friends. Characteristics of white supremacy culture, to be used in support of social justice work and anti-racism. (I thought this was via [personal profile] minoanmiss but can't find it again.)

Hafsa Jalisi performing Nemoj Žalit Suzama, bonus gorgeous Bosnian song that feels like it is also about taking positive action, even though I don't agree with the literal translation of the first line,"Don't grieve me with tears." Has English subtitles.

We live in a world where a megacorp has to decide it's more profitable to have a world to keep selling to than to take all the profits now and then try to prevent things from every changing by buying government officials and legislators.

It would be nice if it that weren't true, or could become less true quicker.
