Housing situation improved

I am now renting an apartment in El Cerrito instead. It is ground level, part of a small side-by-side condo development, and I get my own garage. Basically everything I wanted, except it's located further north than I would prefer. Coincidentally pretty close to where I lived my first three months in the Bay Area back in 1989. It will be fine, just more time on BART than I had in mind.

Now back to packing, but I thought you folks might want to know. It feels surreal that I drive away from here in less than a week! I think I will finish packing in time, but there is definitely more to do. And I'm *tired*. I've been waking up in the middle of the night for months, but I did sleep through to morning birdsong for a couple of nights after signing this new lease.

Well, boarding in EC increases your chances of a seat on BART, if that's a useful/relevant thing!

Thanks for the info! I'm not so much interested in a seat (although they're nice to have) but room for my bike when I'm doing BART + bike to get somewhere. I'm contemplating a 9am appointment getting off at MacArthur, and I'm wondering if it's feasible to get my bike on BART at 8:30am headed toward SF.

For what it's worth, we had a glorious day on Saturday riding our bikes around El Cerrito for the Bringing Back the Natives garden tour. It's a lovely area and the Ohlone Greenway is fantastic.

Sounds fabulous! I used to bike up the Ohlone Greenway to campus 30 years ago from this area. Good to know it's still there, and perhaps improved.

Thank you! The movers came and went, and I am vacuuming and cleaning baseboards, and soon I will take a shower, clean the tub, and crawl into bed on the air mattress whether it's dark by then or not. I am *beat*.
