Housing situation improved

soniaI am now renting an apartment in El Cerrito instead. It is ground level, part of a small side-by-side condo development, and I get my own garage. Basically everything I wanted, except it's located further north than I would prefer. Coincidentally pretty close to where I lived my first three months in the Bay Area back in 1989. It will be fine, just more time on BART than I had in mind.
Now back to packing, but I thought you folks might want to know. It feels surreal that I drive away from here in less than a week! I think I will finish packing in time, but there is definitely more to do. And I'm *tired*. I've been waking up in the middle of the night for months, but I did sleep through to morning birdsong for a couple of nights after signing this new lease.
