These are my beloved friends of Dunava, Seattle's Balkan choir, standing carefully 6' apart, with hand-washing lyrics set to a multi-part Bulgarian melody, Rasodi se tenka Neda.

There are a lot of singers and musicians aching to harmonize in these days of social distancing. Network delays make it unworkable over Zoom, etc. (If you know of a solution, do tell!)

A friend just posted this:

Yesterday I participated in a community recording where we each record ourselves singing harmonies or chorus to my friend P singing a song, and then they stitch it all together so we're all singing together. I look forward to hearing the result.

I thought it was brilliant and now desperately want to do it.

That sounds doable with Audacity. Each singer has to be really good at tuning though, if you can't adjust to each other in real time.

I assume everyone's working off the same recording. It seems worth a try, at least!
