A good day
Nov. 28th, 2021 07:11 pmI biked down to Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden to meet a friend I haven't seen in person in a couple of years. We don't get together often even without a pandemic, because she's busy with kids and full-time engineering job. It was so good to walk around and catch up on everything. We lucked out with a partly-sunny day, cool rather than cold, very pleasant to be outside.
Then I biked home, had lunch, and another friend came over and we went for a walk in the neighborhood and worked on a puzzle together.

After they left, I remembered it's the first night of Hanukah and lit candles and worked on the puzzle some more. Getting close to done! Unlike the past few years, I felt calm and happy to to be lighting candles on my own. I have been feeling so much better lately, not just on a day with more socializing than I've done in months.

I don't know of any puzzle exchanges like that, but it sounds like a good idea. I could see wanting to do this one again sometime.
